Indian Easy Biryani: #Food

Today’s recipe is an easy Biryani.
You need following ingredients for easy Biryani.
  • 1 Chicken : 800 grams (clean and cut into 8-10 pieces.)
  • Rice : 1 kg ( wash and soak them or do as you cook)
  • Onion: 6 large size finely chopped.
  • Garlic, ginger paste: 1 table spoon each
  • Black pepper : according to taste
  • Salt: according to taste
  • Basil leaves: 2-3
  • Cumin, coriander( cilantro) seeds
  • Yogurt: 1/2 kg
  • Food colors: Any two colors
  • Oil for cooking
First of all, put chicken in 1 liter of water and let it boil. Add 1 chopped onion, half quantity of basil leaves, cumin, coriander seeds, black pepper in boiling water  as well. Let the broth boil till you can see the oil of chicken coming up.
Turn off the fire and let the chicken soup get cool. Once the soup is cool, remove the chicken pieces from the soup and set them aside. Measure the quantity of soup as you have to use this to cook rice.
Now in cooking pot add oil and saute the onions until golden brown. Remove half of the brown onion in a plate and set it aside. Now add garlic ginger paste and cook it for 2 minutes. Now you can add remaining half quantity of  basil leaves, cumin, coriander seeds, black pepper. Now its time to add the boiled chicken. Fry it for 2-3 minutes and then add the yogurt(low fat or full cream) in it.
Cook for 5-10 minutes when the water will finish from mixture. Now add your required quantity of chicken soup back in pot with fried chicken. Let the mixture boil and then drain water from your soaked rice and put in this boiling chicken soup.
Let the mixture boil till the rice swell and reach till the level of water. Now low your flame and cover the rice and let it cook. Check the rice after 5 minutes and then add food colors and brown onion on top. Let it cook for few more minutes until the rice are cooked properly.
Your yummy easy briyani is ready.
You can cook rice according to your own style.
You can add any spice that you like to enhance the taste of easy briyani.
If you want add in red chili or green peppers to make it hot.
This recipe of easy briyani is not so spicy.
You can enjoy easy briyani with the yogurt.
